PTN Mentoring Initiative

The Political Theology Network receives now applications for the 2020-2021 PTN Mentoring Initiative

Applications are now available for the 2020-2021 Political Theology Network Mentoring Initiative. The Political Theology Network aims to continue its tradition of connecting underrepresented scholars (especially doctoral students and contingent faculty), including women and racial minorities, with mentors. Mentees and mentors will meet virtually twice each semester and may discuss topics such as discerning a research trajectory, finding a publisher, preparing for qualifying exams, and navigating racism/sexism/homophobia/transphobia in the academy. We understand political theology expansively, as a conversation that involves scholars engaging with different religious traditions, from different disciplinary perspectives, interested in connections between religious and political ideas and practices (see PTN Points of Unity).
