The Protestant Political Thought Project at the University of Cambridge calls for proposals for its conference “Reclaiming Christianity from Populism”

Call for Papers

Reclaiming Christianity from populism:Political theologies of local citizenship and inclusive sources of belonging

14–16 April 2021

The Protestant Political Thought Project at the University of Cambridge

The Protestant Political Thought project (Cambridge Institute on Religion and International Studies) is proud to present our second spring conference. This year we are accepting short conference briefs instead of papers and have put together a flexible programme in order to create a practical focus and avoid Zoom fatigue. We are accepting briefs in the following areas: political theologies of local citizenship, local collaborations and levelling-up, reclaiming Christianity from populism. We especially welcome pieces on interfaith collaboration and racial reconciliation at the local/civil level. See attached CfP below for details.

Please send a proposed paper title, short abstract (c.300 words) and short biography to ppt@ciris.org.uk by 4 February 2021
