Elettra Stimilli works at the Department of Philosophy at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. She is the author of Jacob Taubes (2004), The Debt of the Living (2017), and the co-editor, with Dario Gentili and Glenda Garelli, of Italian Critical Thought (2018). Her recent book is entitled Debt and Guilt (2019).
Taubes’s thought revolves around two poles, philosophy of history and political theology, with the aim of inverting the Schmittian position and thinking a new form of community by means of an innovative return to Paul of Tarsus and Walter Benjamin.
