Jashodhara Sen

Dr. Jashodhara Sen is an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Florida. Jashodhara’s research interests lie in the intersection of politics and the histories of liberatory performances across South Asia and the South Asian diaspora. Her current research, which she is developing in her book project, Between Popular and Profane: Contemporary jatra in India, focuses on the culturally specific performance form jatra and its many modalities, and is centered on class and gender dynamics.
