Krešimir Vuković is Assistant Professor at the Department of Greek and Latin at Charles University in Prague where he is running a project on rivers in the ancient Mediterranean world. He holds a doctorate in Classics from the University of Oxford. He was also Researcher at the University of Venice, Ca' Foscari, Rome Fellow of the British School at Rome and Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at LMU Munich. His book Wolves of Rome: The Lupercalia from Roman and Comparative Perspectives (Walter de Gruyter, 2023) focuses on the role of non-human animals in Roman mythology.
