Sara-Maria Sorentino is an Assistant Professor of Gender & Race Studies at the University of Alabama. Her research asks methodological questions that excavate connections between anti-black violence, real abstraction, and social reproduction. Her writing on abstraction appears in International Labor and Working-Class History and Theory & Event, and she has additional recent articles in Antipode, Postmodern Culture, Telos, differences, Emancipations, Political Theology, and The Comparatist.
