Stephanie Mota Thurston

Stephanie Thurston is Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her teaching and research interests include religion and politics, social ethics, political theory, and political theology. Thurston is especially interested in moral and political questions concerning school segregation, policing and prisons, and migration and borders. She is currently working on several projects that focus on complicity, responsibility, and school segregation.
