The Political Theology Network welcomes nominations and self-nominations for its Executive Committee. Elections will be held (virtually) at the time of PTN’s spring conference, in April 2022. Members of the Executive Committee serve two year terms, renewable once. The Executive Committee as a group decides on the overall direction of the organization, assesses activities, sets budgets, and determines strategic priorities. Each member of the Executive Committee serves as a resource for a set of PTN activities. While PTN support staff work with activities on a day-to-day basis, Executive Committee members consult with activity coordinators for visioning and high-level problem solving.
Members of the PTN Executive Committee are expected to attend the PTN spring conference (post-pandemic, from spring 2023) and to attend virtual meetings about six times a year.
Skills and experiences that would be particularly useful on the PTN Executive Committee include conference oversight, fundraising and grant writing, community and activist engagement, and membership development.
To be eligible, nominees should be members of PTN. We welcome nominations and self-nominations of academics at all levels and in all contexts, clergy, activists, and others. To make a nomination, email the name of the nominee and a few lines explaining the reason for the nomination to politicaltheologynetwork@gmail.com by February 11, and it will be passed on to the Nominating Committee.
