The 2015 AAR and SBL Annual Meetings are fast approaching and we wanted to remind you all of some Political Theology events.
First, on Friday 11/20 from 8p-10p at Der Biergarten, 300 Marietta Street , Atlanta please join us to celebrate a great year of discussion and debate in the journal Political Theology and our blog Political Theology Today, and to launch the new Cambridge Companion to Christian Political Theology, edited by Craig Hovey and Elizabeth Phillips. Craig Hovey will be there to say a bit about this important new volume, as will contributors Miguel de la Torre and Susan Abraham. Invite your friends and colleagues, and feel free to just drop in if you can’t stay for the whole time.
On Sunday 11/22 from 9:00 AM-11:30 AM in Hilton-Grand Salon A (Level 2) please join us for an Exploratory Session on “The State of Political Theology Today”, IInese Radzins, Pacific School of Religion, Presiding. This exploratory session will address the possibilities and limitations of political theology as a subfield of religious studies. For more information visit click here.
And throughout the Meeting, display copies of Political Theology will be available at the Taylor & Francis/Routledge stand in the book fair so stop by to take a look!
Thank you for continuing to support and contribute to Political Theology and we hope to see you in Atlanta.
